Joy Zhao, M.D.,  Board Certified Neurologist

Dr. Zhao completed her internship and residency in neurology at Albany Medical Center in New York, and then finished her fellowship training in clinical neurophysiology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is board-certified in both neurology and clinical neurophysiology (EMG, EEG, ambulatory EEG, video EEG, etc.). Dr. Zhao has thirteen years of clinical experience. She first worked at Valley Medical Center/UW Medicine for over seven years, and then started her own private practice, Integrated Neurology Health Services, in 2012. Dr. Zhao is currently affiliated with Highline Medical Center/Franciscan Health System.

Neurological cases are often complicated and involve a lot of uncertainties. The diagnosis and treatment can be sophisticated and highly demanding. But these challenges make neurology a fascinating medical field for Dr. Zhao to work in. She is ready to provide quality and comprehensive solutions to address the patient’s health issues, by leveraging her years of clinical experience and in–depth training as both a neurologist and a neurology subspecialist. To maximize the treatment efficacy and deal with situations where modern medicine is ineffective, she has also incorporated complementary medicines such as acupuncture into her regular neurology practice and achieved positive clinical results.
